About Allie

A Florida native, Allie’s work has appeared in the Miami Herald, the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Women’s Wear Daily, The National Law Journal, CNN and People Magazine

She has a B.A. in Journalism from Emory University and a J.D. from Cardozo Law School.  Allie was appointed Assistant District Attorney for the Manhattan DA’s Office, where she handled hundreds of felonies from arrest through trial.

After homeschooling her kindergartener reignited her passion for children’s books, Allie began writing for children. She focuses on adventurous nonfiction stories for kids.

As a journalist and trial lawyer, she has spent her career digging deeply into facts to shape them into compelling narratives. Whether writing for the public, speaking to a jury, or now creating stories for children, her work is grounded in deep curiosity and a passion for discovery.

She enjoys traveling to new places, growing fruits and vegetables in her garden, and exploring the local beach with her two daughters.
